* INGREDIENTS:
Each sachet of 4,15g contains:

-      Anhydrous Glucose                2,70 g                       

-      Natri clorid                                0,52 g                     

-      Natri citrat dihydrat                  0,58 g                     

-      Kali clorid                                  0,30 g                       

-      Orange flavor                            0,05 g

*DRUG EFFECTS:
 Oresol-II create the following pharmacological effects :

- Osmotic pressure is closely similar to plasma’s

- Glucose content helps to supplement energy, encourage Na+ absorption in small intestine, transport water through cell membrane, reduce electrolyte loss.

- Content of K+ and Na+ supplemented from Oresol-II compensates for K+ and Na+ loss from diarrhea or vomit… K+ is very necessary for heart’s and muscle’s activities. Mild K+ shortage will cause exhaustion, pain to muscle. Severe K+ shortage can even cause muscle palsy. These conditions are common in people who do heavy work and lose much sweat.

- Citrate helps to regulate acidification in intestine due to diarrhea and increase Na+ absorption in small intestine.
 

* INDICATIONS:
Used for fluid and electrolyte rehydration in case of diarrhea, vomit, high temperature, energy and sweat losses due to heavy work and sport activities

* DOSAGE:
Dissolve 4,15 g  Oresol – II (1 sachet) in 200 ml cool boiled water, then follow these instructions:

         -  Babies under 24 months old: drink one teaspoon every 1-2 minutes.

   + Take 50 – 100ml after each watery stool.

   + Maximum amount allowed to take at home: 500 ml / day.

         - Children from 2-10 years old: use small glass to sip.

   + Take 100 – 200ml after each watery stool.

   + Maximum amount allowed to take at home: 1 liter / day.

              - Children over 10 years old: 

   + After each watery stool: depend on the need.

   + Maximum amount allowed to take at home: 2 liters / day.

          - If children vomit, wait 10 minutes later and let them take slower.
 

* PRECAUTIONS:

- Dissolved solution must be used within 24 hours.

- Do not dilute the dissolved solution because low Na + content will decrease other electrolytes’ content.

- Follow doctors’ directions when treated for diarrhea to prevent side effects: oedema, electrolyte disorders.
